Baljinder Bains Associate

Baljinder is an associate lawyer in the Business Law Group at Bernard LLP, where he advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. His practice primarily focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.

Baljinder has experience representing private companies, institutional investors, high net-worth individuals, and family offices in a broad range of legal matters, including business purchases and sales, business structuring, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, corporate governance, and Indigenous business ventures. Baljinder is dedicated to delivering practical and strategic legal solutions tailored to the unique needs of his clients.

Before joining Bernard LLP, Baljinder practised at the Vancouver office of a national Canadian law firm, where he also completed his articles.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Simon Fraser University. During law school, Baljinder served as an editor for the Canadian Journal of Comparative and Contemporary Law and was the Co-Founder and Co-President of the TRU Business Law Society.

Before entering the legal profession, Baljinder gained valuable experience in public sector compliance and advisory work, held leadership roles as Director and Vice President of Finance at a nonprofit organization, and worked as a teaching assistant for several undergraduate business courses.

Baljinder is fluent in Punjabi.
