Robert Galletti Associate Counsel
Robert joined Bernard LLP as Associate Counsel in 2025, having maintained a wide-ranging corporate, commercial, and securities law practice for almost 20 years. He represents both public and private companies, founders, investors, underwriters, and agents operating domestically and internationally in diverse industries, including natural resources, shipping & logistics, real estate, technology, media & entertainment, gaming, agri-business, food & beverage, retail, and a variety of service-based enterprises.
Robert has established a reputation for his broad business and regulatory knowledge base, strong communication and negotiation skills, and for providing clients with strategic, efficient, evidence-driven advice tailored to their needs. In that regard, he routinely acts in matters including:
- structuring new companies, partnerships, joint ventures, and special investment vehicles, such as flow-through limited partnerships and REITS;
- domestic and cross-border corporate finance, including private placements and other exempt securities offerings, initial and secondary public offerings, and stock exchange listings;
- commercial transactions including the purchase and sale of goods or services, franchising arrangements, and leasing, among others;
- mergers, acquisitions and divestitures involving private and public companies;
- reverse takeovers;
- development and complex licensing arrangements for software, technology, and other intellectual property;
- secured finance and other borrowing/lending arrangements;
- regulatory compliance, including financial, environmental, privacy, health & safety, and consumer products, among others.
Robert also advises companies, boards, committees and individuals on corporate and securities law compliance matters, disclosure obligations, regulatory investigations, corporate governance, special transactions, and stakeholder relations.
Prior to joining Bernard LLP, Robert practiced at a nationally recognized capital markets boutique in Vancouver, and was formerly general counsel to Canada’s then largest independent film & television production studio. He has been an instructor of entertainment law at the UBC Faculty of Continuing Studies, and a frequent guest lecturer in corporate ethics at the UBC Faculty of Law.

Other Interests
Outside of work, Robert is passionate about youth advocacy, arts education, and amateur sport, and has served as a director, advisor or volunteer for a number of non-profit organizations, including the B.C. Provincial Childcare Council, and the North Shore Girls Soccer Club, among others. He is an avid skier, golfer, boxer, musician and painter.
Robert is professionally fluent in French.
