David S. Jarrett Appointed Legislative Liason to MIABC Executive
David S. Jarrett was recently appointed as the Legislative Liaison for the Executive Committee of the Marine Insurance Association of British Columbia (“MIABC”) for the 2014 – 2015 term. As Legislative Liaison, David’s duties include keeping the MIABC’s Executive Committee updated on any legislative changes or court decisions that may affect its membership.
The MIABC is a non-profit organization whose goals include promoting education, harmony, fellowship, and good practice in the profession, the interchange of views, opinion and personal experience, the discussion of topics of interest to the profession and the consideration of other subjects that may be brought before the MIABC.
The MIABC is one of two Marine Insurance Associations in Canada, the other being the Toronto based Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters (“CBMU”). David is also an Associate Member of the CBMU.
